Yes. It's salon stock supplied through Kérastase's New Zealand distribution, the same bottles we use at our basins in Wānaka. Buying from a salon that stocks the brand is the safest way to avoid grey-market or old stock.

Here's how we match them in the salon. Acidic Bonding Concentrate is for colour and bleach damage. Extreme is for breakage and weak hair. All Soft is for dryness. Color Extend Magnetics keeps colour from fading, and Blondage is for blondes fighting brass. Frizz Dismiss handles humidity and puffiness. Brews is the men's line. What's the best Redken treatment for damaged hair?
For colour or bleach damage, we reach for Acidic Bonding Concentrate, especially the Intensive Treatment and the leave-in. For breakage from heat styling and brushing, Redken Extreme with the Anti-Snap leave-in is usually the better fit. If your hair is mainly dry and rough rather than breaking, All Soft Heavy Cream will make more difference.

Should I use Redken shampoo and conditioner from the same range?
It usually works best, since each range is designed to be used together. That said, mixing is fine. A common combination we use is an Acidic Bonding Concentrate shampoo with an All Soft conditioner for hair that's both lightened and dry. What matters most is the leave-in or mask, because that's what stays on your hair longest.

Does Redken have a range for men?

Which evo shampoo should I use?
Normal Persons Daily Shampoo is for everyday hair that gets oily easily. The Therapist is for dry hair, Ritual Salvation is for damaged or coloured hair, and Gluttony is for fine hair that needs volume. Each has a matching conditioner. What is evo Fabuloso?
It's a colour boosting treatment, a tinted conditioning mask that tops up your colour between salon visits. We stock shades including Platinum Blonde, Light Beige, Caramel, Copper and Cool Brown. Which evo styling products do stylists actually use?
Icon Welder is the heat protector we use before blow-drying. Day of Grace is a pre-style primer for detangling and prep. Builder's Paradise is a working spray for setting curls as you go. Crop Strutters Construction Cream gives texture to short cuts. Have a look at evo styling.

What's the difference between evo's repair treatments?
Mane Attention is a protein treatment for hair that feels weak, stretchy or over-processed. The Great Hydrator is a moisture mask for hair that feels dry and rough. Happy Campers is a leave-in for daily softness. Too much protein can make hair feel stiff, so alternate if you use both.

Is this the same Angel En Provence range sold overseas?
Yes. ANGEL Professional and Angel En Provence are the same family, and the products here are the ones we use and sell at our Wānaka salon. The range is split into botanical lines, each built around one ingredient, so you'll see Helichrysum, Grapefruit, Iris, Verbena, Green Tea, Lavender and a Kids line. Which Angel shampoo and conditioner should I start with?
For dry or rough lengths, start with Helichrysum, then add the Pure Nourishing Hair Mask once a week. Grapefruit is the repair line for hair that's been coloured or heat styled. Iris is a restorative line with a leave-in treatment, handy if your ends tangle. Hair Vitamin & Inca Inchi Oil is a good everyday option if you just want soft, manageable hair without a specific problem to fix.

Which Angel line suits oily roots or a flaky scalp?
Verbena Oil Control is the one for roots that get greasy fast, and the Verbena Dry Shampoo stretches the days between washes. Green Tea Anti Dandruff is the line for flakes. If flaking keeps coming back, or your scalp is red, sore or itchy for weeks, see your GP or a dermatologist rather than trying more shampoos. What does the Angel Lavender line do?
Lavender Full Energetic is the body line. The shampoo and conditioner are light enough for finer hair that goes flat, and the Lavender Body Maker Spray goes on damp roots before you blow-dry for extra lift. If your hair is fine but also dry on the ends, keep the Lavender wash and use a little Helichrysum mask on the ends only.

Is the Angel Kids range gentle enough for children?
The Kids Tea Tree Shampoo, Conditioner and Detangler are made for children's hair and scalps. Most parents tell us the Detangler is the one that changes bath night, sprayed through damp hair before combing. Keep shampoo out of eyes as you would with any product, and if your child has a sore or broken-skin scalp, check with your GP before using anything new.
